Gartan Lake and Outdoor Centre (10 km) - Gartan Lough Outdoors, set within 87 acres on the shores of Gartan Lough in the very heart of Donegal, is superbly located for its many outdoor and adventure sport courses and holidays. Grianan of Aileach (18 km) - The massive stone wall was probably built in the Christian era, but the bank and ditch surrounding the fort date to the early Iron Age. Glenveagh National Park (24 km) - Some 16,540 hectares of mountains, lakes, glens and woods, with a herd of red deer. A Scottish style castle is surrounded by one of the finest gardens in Ireland. There is a Visitors Centre with displays explaining the park along with an audio-visual show.

By Car: From Derry: - Coming into Letterkenny, go through the roundabout at the Dry Arch and continue straight to the Ramelton Road Roundabout. - Continue straight through towards Letterkenny town until you reach the Station Roundabout. - Stay in the left lane and take the second exit towards Main Street. - At the traffic lights, Gallaghers is on the right-hand side From Sligo: - Follow directions to Donegal. - When in Donegal, follow directions to Ballybofey and then to Letterkenny. - Then, as above.
